Representatives of the Muslim community in Venezuela reported that a group of strangers come into the country's main Muslim mosque, robbed in the administrative area and desecrated holy books, local newspapers reported today.
Mohammad Ali Bokhari, general manager, told the media that the attackers trampled the sacred books, smashed windows and took computer equipment from the administrative area.
The assault was perpetrated against Ibrahim Al-Ibrahim Mosque, the second largest in Latin America, opened in 1993 and built with funds provided by Saudi Arabia.
